Transfer Policy

British Education Centre allows students to transfer from a course X to another course Y within British Education Centre. This is treated as a withdrawal from course X and a re-enrolment with British Education Centre into course Y.

A transfer to another private education institution is regarded as a withdrawal from British Education Centre.

If the student is below 18 years of age, the parent or guardian’s approval for the transfer will be required.

A request to transfer to another course can be accepted if the student meets the admission requirements for the course he wants to transfer to, and there are available places in that course. It is also subjected to external partner’s approval for courses requiring matriculation with external partners (if applicable).

Student have to give a written notice of the intention for transfer of courses to British Education Centre using our FRM-023 Transfer Request Form. Parent/legal guardian signature is required if the student is under 18 years of age.

Students can approach their course consultant or any Student Support Services Staff for the form.

Full-time students that are on Student Pass will have their current Student Pass cancelled to apply for a new Student Pass for the new course. British Education Centre will not be held liable should the student’s pass application not be approved by the Singapore ICA.

Once the transfer request has been processed, British Education Centre will:

  1. Issue a letter to student effecting the transfer
  2. Cancel the current Student Pass and apply for a new Student Pass (if applicable)
  3. Refund (based on our Refund policy, if applicable)
  4. Sign a whole set of contract for the new course and cancellation of the previous contract

Local students will be notified of the outcome within 7 working days from the receipt of the transfer request. International students will be notified of the outcome of student’s pass application within 4 weeks from the receipt of the transfer request (this may vary and depends on ICA processing period).

In the unlikely event that a student has to transfer from Course A to Course B within British Education Centre because course A is to be phased out, British Education Centre will meet with the students regarding the reasons for phasing out Course A, and the options open to the student. A letter will also be issued to the affected students and their parents and/or guardians.

If the student agrees to take up Course B, the student shall follow the normal transfer procedure.

Once the transfer request has been processed, British Education Centre will:

  1. Issue a letter to student effecting the transfer
  2. Cancel the current Student Pass and apply for a new Student Pass (if applicable)
  3. Refund (based on our Refund policy, if applicable)
  4. Sign a whole set of contract for the new course
